Pacific Transcription provides an optional file archiving service to all our clients, providing you with both peace of mind and the ability to immediately access your documents wherever you may be.
All documents from when you elect to begin with our dedicated and specially curated archiving service are stored securely in a separate section of your Pacific login, for the duration of your subscription to the archiving service.
One of the major benefits of archiving all your information and digital documentation is that you don’t lose any of your data, and it’s organised in a system that is easier for you to navigate.

You can secure our file archiving service for a small monthly fee, paid in advance. You determine how long you wish to use this service. We also offer an annual subscription. For pricing please contact us to request a copy of our rates sheet.
Pacific Transcription deletes non-archived documents from our servers approximately one month after upload of the completed transcripts, as per our confidentiality policy. Because of this, it’s important that you remember to download and save your documents to a secure location within this time period.
In the instance that you need to access a file that has been deleted from our systems without archiving, we may be able to retrieve your file from our offsite backup. Files are backed up on this server for approximately one year (this is not guaranteed). A small retrieval fee for digital document archiving is applicable. Pacific Transcription can archive your audio files, although pricing is dependent upon the audio format and volume of audio, as the amount of server space used by an audio file varies between formats. If you would like to take advantage of audio archiving please contact Pacific for an accurate quote.
For client accounts with a subscription to our file archiving service, all completed documents are automatically archived upon upload. Archived documents are backed up daily to a separate data centre in case of disruption to our main servers.
