Who uses Leximancer?

Leximancer is used by a growing number of academic researchers around Australia and overseas.
A small number of Australian universities currently have site licences of Leximancer, including:

• University of Queensland
• University of Technology, Sydney
• Queensland University of Technology
• University of Western Sydney
• Griffith University
• University of New England

In addition to this, hundreds of researchers from almost every Australian university hold individual licences.

Pacific Transcription is a Leximancer partner, and is authorized to resell Leximancer to universities, academics and students for research purposes. We can also arrange Leximancer training or integration performed by a Leximancer consultant.

 Mac compatibility:

Please note that Apple will no longer be including Java with the next major OS X release scheduled for July 2011. Leximancer requires Java to run. Oracle and Apple have announced that future Java support will be available through the OpenJDK project. However, an official release is not yet available.

Leximancer users are advised not to upgrade to OS X Lion as Leximancer will no longer function. This affects both portal and desktop use.

Leximancer is currently investigating options for supporting Mac OSX Lion and will provide further information when available.
